My Weekend

In the weekend I went to the Time Zone with my family. To go there my Dad drove us. At timezone we played Laser tag and we played 10 pin bowling too. I managed to beat my Dad and I felt really happy. All of these things were really amazing.

After we finished all of our family went to the Warehouse in Pakuranga Plaza. At the Warehouse my Dad bought me lots of toys. We bought the game of Chess and some Remote Control Cars.

This is the story about my weekend that was happened in Sunday last week. On Sunday I really enjoyed doing all of the things with my family. 

Duffy Assembly - Michel Mulipola

Today we had a special Duffy Assembly.  The special about assembly was Michel Mulipola came.He was a famous illustrator of comics.

Wheel Words

This week for reading activity Rotorua and Motuhie were on a site called Wheel Words. I found 6 4 letter words. My favorite letter was Cine. I would like to find more 6,7,8 and 9 letter words.

Kiwi Can

Today Learning Space 2 went to kiwi can, at Kiwi can our topic was resilience and our new theme was perseverance. Perseverance has a similar definition as resilience, which is never giving up and keep trying. This quality can be used for a large majority of things for an example: sports, competitions, finding a job, house and more other things. We also played a game called invisible tag, the rules for this game was kind of simple, the ball is invisible, you had to be split up into two groups, you also had to create a line so that Mr Matt could call numbers. If he said the number 2 or any number, the first people in the line have to go and tag the players, the only thing is that, only the first 2 people in the line can go - This applies to all number. Then if you had the invisible ball you had to try get a goal by touching the try line at the end of enemies side. If you got touched by the opposite team, the person who touched you, were handed the ball, once your touched you cannot touch the same person who touched you.

Exponents - Reiner

Today we have  been learning about Exponents, here are some examples on what exponents are. Here on my DLO I have answered some of these questions with a little bit of help. This was a bit challenging for my first time learning about this though. But I really enjoyed learning something new. 

Wheel Words

Today I did reading and for reading we play a game call wheel words. I did one of the 4 letters words and it was my first time doing the wheel words. It was really hard for me because the words was to hard for me to do. But I really enjoy do wheel words.   

Features of a visual text

Today I was learning about Features of a visual text. I was taking a look at a book called Great Scientists. I learnt about the different features in a visual text. My favorite feature is photograph because its beautiful. 

Building Bridge

Today for Inquiry we continuing building bridge. Our group manage to sticking the trass and deck together. I worked with Miki, Josh, Jona and Jaydon. We are building a Trass bridge.

Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra

Today we went to Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra.  I saw a lots of performances, music and dance. At the Orchestra it has different sections which is Brass, Woodwind, Percussion and Strings. The performances was very awesome and beautiful. My favorite part was the St Kents and Ngatapawae college people was dancing on the stage.

Bridge Building

This week for Inquiry our groups were working on bridge building, my group had five people (Including me) the others were: Josh, Jona, Jay-Don and Miki. To build this bridge we needed to first get our materials, after that we needed to glue the tooth picks together to make the bridge sides and deck. I liked doing this activity because I enjoy making things.

All About Me

This is a DLO that I made about myself, it explains who I am, where I grew up in and the things that I like. I like my new house better than my old one because I can read quietly wherever I want. One of the things that I don't like about it is having to do chores. I miss my country because not all of my family live in New Zealand.

Word Bingo

Today I played Word Bingo. I learnt how to say new words, for it I needed to listen for a word and then click on the written version of it. I enjoyed this game.

Describe The Picture

This week for writing one of my tasks was to describe what was happening in this photo, I needed to describe it in English and Tagalog. I found this task really easy to complete because all I needed to do was describe it in my language and then translate it to English.
